Solar View Windows
Solar View windows are made with the Pacific Northwest in mind.
They aim to provide excellent energy efficiency without blocking the outside light.
Since so many of us live with rather short days during the winter, to squander the light would be unthinkable. Other window companies shade the exterior light, as would be appropriate in the Sun Belt. However, the Northwest has particular needs.
In fact, Solar View allows up to 68 percent more visible light into your home than other windows with similar energy-saving performance ratings. This means that all year around you and your family will have the benefit of excellent visibility. This visibility does not show up on the energy bill, but you will notice a payoff in terms of your quality of life. When the eyes receive more light, your mood can improve, which will have a domino effect in your work and the rest of your life. It’ll be hard to find anyone in the Northwest who argues with the value that brings to the table. Plus the windows are just darn attractive.
Excellent Energy Ratings
All Solar View windows and doors can be made with a U-Value of .25 and lower. Solar View’s R-value, which is an overall measure of thermal resistance, is higher than the minimum required for an EnergyStar window. Their rating is up to 4.55, where the EnergyStar requirement is 3.33. With such an excellent energy rating added to the level of visible light admitted through their windows, it’s no wonder that we feature Solar View as a superior choice.
Solar View’s replacement windows are available with a variety of interior wood grain finishes and factory finished exterior color options as well as a range of hardware options which are sure to please any homeowner. If wood grain is not to your liking, there are 17 custom colors available for the exterior.
Solar View is available in:
- Horizontal Sliders
- Single Hungs
- Double Hungs
- Double Sliders

Not only do they offer a great product out of the box, but Solar View’s windows stand the test of time. They can boast a .2% seal failure rate over 20 years, which is phenomenal and is the lowest in the industry. This means that you will likely never have to replace their windows. If you choose to sell your home after replacing the windows with Solar View, make sure to include these facts in your sales material. It may not add extra value to the home, but you might preserve value and ensure that you have fewer headaches during the inspection period.
